Art Hudman joined the Dallas City Attorney’s Office in 1998 as its lead real estate specialist and currently services as Deputy Chief of the Division, as well as a Section Head. Art directly works on all manner of real estate, economic development, housing, public works, and construction related issues. Art directly supervises the attorneys in the Development-Transactions Section and assists the Division Chief in overseeing the 30-plus attorneys of the General Counsel Division. Art has served as lead attorney on such high profile projects as development of the City’s Performing Arts Center, privatization of the Dallas Zoo’s operations, construction of the Dallas Police Headquarters, renovation of the Mercantile Bldg., acquisition and donation of the UNT-Dallas campus site, and numerous other public private partnership developments throughout the City.
