Kenneth Bennett started his career in Waco, Texas as a felony prosecutor and continued his service in the 220th Judicial District of Texas in Hamilton, Bosque, and Comanche Counties. Before joining the Dallas City Attorney's Office in 1989 he was in private practice in Waco. His work for the City has been primarily in the areas of eminent domain and land use litigation.
